Final Week

Kia Ora All,

We're heading into the final countdown.

  • I'm aiming to catch up with each student individually during maths this week to collect some data which I'll use to plan the first few weeks of next term. I've set some Maths Buddy tasks based on some tests I gave the students over the last two weeks, they also have their Action Plans underway. I suggest making time in your home learning programme for Maths Buddy this week and over the holidays.
  • If you don't have a book that you're reading your child daily, I suggest getting back into the habit. Lots of research to show how beneficial being read to is for students. As an added bonus, it's also super fun. You could get them to read one page and read one page to them.
  • You might like to revisit some of the activities we did at the start of the term in writing to keep them going over the break. The pocket book activity was popular, create a quiz or writing poems such as haiku or using similes are also fun.
  • The class movie is slowly creeping closer to completion - actually it is very far away from completion. Wish us luck on this. It's due Friday...
  • BTB points auction will be Thursday or Wednesday. Small items for the auction needed! Send along with your child please.
Rock on,
Mr M

  2. Thanks for all that info, Thomas. Good luck with the movie! Do you need any help from parents?
